Keep the story true

Find the loose threads. Keep the story yours.

Plotilla Story Intelligence relates manuscript evidence to the connected project around it. It can surface continuity drift, timeline anachronisms and character contradictions for review, while leaving every decision with the author.

A connected practice

Room for the work behind the words

Plotilla brings these parts into one project, with the manuscript at the center.

01

Read the story as connected evidence

Continuity review can consider what appears in the manuscript alongside relevant characters, places, lore, relationships and timeline information. That context helps a possible contradiction point back to the facts that produced it.

Findings are meant to be inspected against the actual draft. A suggestion is not proof that the story is wrong.

  • Continuity findings and contradiction checks
  • Story intelligence across manuscript and world information
  • Evidence references and uncertainty where the signal is incomplete
02

Canon proposals stay proposals

When a review identifies a possible new or changed canon fact, Plotilla can present a canon proposal for you to consider. Proposals are not silent database edits.

You review, accept or dismiss them. The manuscript and established world remain unchanged unless you choose to make the change.

03

Useful without claiming infallibility

Fiction often contains intentional mysteries, unreliable narration and changes that are justified later. The review should help you investigate those cases, not flatten them into automatic errors.

Plotilla cannot guarantee that a story has no plot holes or contradictions. It is a review aid for authors who want another careful pass over connected evidence.

04

A workflow for revision

Use a chapter review for a focused pass or Story Intelligence for broader project relationships. Keep the findings that help, dismiss the ones that do not, and return to the manuscript when the evidence calls for a revision.

Catching an Anachronistic Relic in Chapter 8

An example scenario, not a customer story or a promise of a specific automated result.

The situation
During a tense river crossing in Chapter 8, your protagonist Seraphina grips an ancient relic called the Moonstone Amulet to illuminate their path.

The friction
In your story timeline and Chapter 14 outline, Seraphina has not yet descended into the Sunken Vault where the Moonstone Amulet is locked. You accidentally referenced the relic six chapters before she acquires it.

Seraphina reached beneath her cloak and clasped the Moonstone Amulet. Its cold luminescence pierced the gathering darkness...

A way through it
A continuity review can help you inspect the Chapter 8 reference alongside the timeline and the later chapter where the relic is discovered. You decide whether the early appearance is an error, foreshadowing or a deliberate change; Plotilla does not edit the manuscript for you.
